John has forty-eight years in the financial service industry with experience in stock option and restricted stock planning, qualified and nonqualified retirement plan design, employee benefits coordination, business structure, and continuation planning. He provides fee-based financial, estate planning, and investment advisory services for high-net-worth corporate executives and business owners. His current practice concentrates on helping key executives and business owners identify and establish strategies to work toward and maintain their most important personal and family financial desires.

John is a life agent, registered representative, and investment adviser representative with LPL Financial. He is Securities Series 7 (General Securities) and Series 24 (Securities Principal) licensed. He has held board positions with the Mount Diablo Association of Life Underwriters, the Oakland/East Bay Society of Chartered Life Underwriters & Chartered Financial Consultants, and the Mount Diablo General Agents and Managers Association. He is a 30-year member of the Financial Planners’ Association and holds the CFP (Certified Financial Planner and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designations. He currently teaches two courses at the University of California Berkeley and has been authorized by the Insurance Department of the State of California to provide continuing education seminars on Financial Planning, Government Benefit Programs, Estate Planning, and Business Continuation Planning.

Prior to joining LPL Financial, he was Regional Vice-President/Director of Financial Planning and Assistant Vice President/National Director Life Marketing for one of the ten largest insurance companies in the United States. Other former functions have included: Director of Pensions, Director of Corporate Marketing & Research, and Brokerage Manager-Group Insurance. This strong and varied background enables him to provide comprehensive analysis and strategies designed for a broad range of business and personal financial issues.
